Hello, my friends. Welcome to another episode of the Dream Maker Podcast. CB here. This is going to be a CB solo ep. You might hear a little bit of beach vibes in the background cause I'm actually recording this from my car. As you do as I do so that I can be at the beach while I'm recording this. And also in the spirit of getting shit done, getting stuff done that feels good to get done. I've been really looking forward to stepping into doing more CB solo eps this year and also resisting it a little bit as well. So you know, in, alignment with the last episode we did, Rippin Off the Band Aid. I'm just calling myself into action today and hitting record. It's a Friday. I have already been for a big beach walk and a swim and a coffee and yeah, I was about to go home and record this and decided it would feel better looking at the ocean and I'm having ocean vibes. So here we are. A couple of things I wanted to ask you before we jump into this episode, I want to talk about how to get out of overwhelm how to get out of fear and into back into momentum, probably more about overwhelm, I'd say. Because overwhelm just comes from fear and self doubt and lack and fear and scarcity. And it's just a big bundle of, Shit, sometimes when we feel like, what the hell am I doing? I have big dreams, I want to bring things into reality, and suddenly it's just all got too hard because I have too many moving pieces. Especially, shout out to the mamas out there. It's a, it's, it's a big deal being human. And a businesswoman and a creator and bringing things into reality, but being a parent as well. So the mums and the dads, if I've got any dads listening here the juggle is real and life can get pretty hectic and the list is always a big battle. But it doesn't need to be actually, I don't even want to say it's a battle. What I want to say is the list will be there forever. So don't battle it. The list. If you are a creator, you will forever have more things on your list. that you want to take action on to bring into reality. And so the truth of that is it's an invitation to get comfortable that there's always more things and you feel like you've got time to do. But what I want to share in this episode is how I get myself out of overwhelming into action which I think might be one of my superpowers. You know, I obviously, I am a a clarity momentum. Mentor, like helping people, clarity, courage, momentum, I would say is how I help people most is to get into clarity and get into action and get into courageous action and create forward momentum by taking action, but not overwhelming. I need to hustle all the time, action, clear, intentional, inspired action. So, yeah, I want to share some tips today about how to get yourself out of overwhelm and back into clarity and back into your power. But one thing I was thinking about as I was driving to the beach is that I, I wanted to check in with you guys and I just want to know I, I would love to know who you are, like who's listening to this podcast. And why that matters to me is I, I see all these people listening to the podcast, which is amazing. Thank you. I'm so grateful for your support and for taking time out of your precious day to be listening to this. And hopefully that means it's impactful for you in some way, but I just love you. Real honest connection. And so it's hard sometimes like on socials and email and in my programs, you build connection with people, but with podcasts, you can see the numbers of people listening and you might see like, some like Haitian things about where they are, but you really just don't actually know who they are. So I'd love to know who you are. That's the nutshell. I'd love to know who you are. And the other thing that was coming to me is I'd love to know how you feel about the shift from uplevel podcast into dream maker podcast. So I know it's very early days, but yeah, I just, I would love to connect with you a little bit more and get a little bit of feedback as well. And I'd love to know what you would love to hear more of. And my intention is. Pretty regular guest conversations, guest podcasts mixing in some CB solo eps and those I'd love to be a little bit more practical help around this stuff around clarity, courage, forward momentum so that you can actually bring your dreams into reality. And yeah, I'm pretty excited to bring in a couple of episodes for the young hearts as well. So yeah, I'd love to know what you want to hear as well. That's it. That's what I wanted to ask about. So let's jump into this. How do you get yourself out of overwhelm? I don't know about you guys, but every now and then. I just have a freaking meltdown. I just, it, everything kind of builds up and it's like, holy heck, I feel like I'm in overwhelm. I need to clear the decks. So that's probably the first thing I would say is I set the intention that any time you get into overwhelm, anytime you feel like you're going to have a meltdown or a inner meltdown just take it all. It's just information. That I need to clear the decks. I need to do something differently. So the first tip I guess I want to share is Get really real with yourself that you are actually in overwhelm. Maybe get real with the people around you This the act of just acknowledging I am in overwhelm I am having a meltdown. I am finding this difficult is really, really powerful. And I think that that in and of itself can be a moment, like a marker in time that you can be like, okay. I'm just getting real with myself and then I can make a decision to do something different and create change. So yeah, step one, really acknowledge that you are an overwhelm, maybe speak to people around you. I think that's really, really valuable. And then make a decision. The The the key part always is about making a decision to do something differently. I would then say before you get into action would be just to walk away and to create some space for yourself rather than trying to get out of overwhelm by hustling your way out. Clear the decks, clear energy. Change your energy, get real with yourself about where you are, use it as a bouncing off point, but really make it a high priority to come back into your body, into yourself, clear the decks energetically before you go forward before you go forth into momentum. I would then say, do some things that feel really good for you. So do things that will help you to shift your energy and that in and of itself That's going to change your frequency. That's going to change your vibration. If you're in any of my Dreamstream programs or have worked with me in the past we often talk about energy. Everything is energy. Everything has energy. We are energetic beings and it's our job to. take care of our energy all the time. Often we forget this. But when we get into overwhelm that's, that's like a, a lower, it's just lower on the vibrational scale. It's a heavier energy when we feel it's like fear, overwhelm lack scarcity. What in the heck am I doing? This might not be possible. All of those heavy energies. Before you get into action, you're better off to kind of do things that help you to shift your energy and feel good so that you can change change your frequency, change your vibration and get back into a place of a greater sense of clarity and power and purpose and inner peace. And I've got these vibes that's just higher on the vibrational scale, the frequent, the higher frequency. When you feel good. Everything's going to be easier. It's going to be easier. In fact, overwhelm might disappear or give you some more practical strategies to how to work through that. But even just the, the shift in energy is going to have a big impact on how you feel in a moment. And you're going to feel a greater sense of clarity, a greater sense of possibility. And then you can get into the practical. How do I, Get clear about all the things that I have on my plate and what's actually essential here now. That's so much easier to do when you're feeling more in your power. You don't need to feel like a superhuman. You just need to have a shift in energy and a shift in perspective in the right direction. And it's just going to be easier for you to handle, for you to approach the overall and what is happening for you. And I think also when you do the things that feel good for you and you create space rather than run into hustle mode, when you create the space, In my experience and all the people I mentor with that's when ideation comes through. That's when inspiration comes through. That's when you really feel a grounded sense of, oh, that's right. This is what I'm doing. This is why I'm doing it. This is what matters. This is what my vision is. I can breathe deeper. I've got this. All I need to do is get clear and take some action and I'm back in the arena and back in the game so the next thing I would do is something that I live and breathe by and love is get out some paper It sounds so simple, but get out some I would say be clear. I like a3 paper, but you do whatever works for you but it's about creating a clear space to then play with, and I would just then take the opportunity to just download everything. When I, I guess I just call this regrouping or resetting, I would grab out highlighters, texts, pens, or pencils if that's your jam, and just start to write the different categories of the projects that I have or the different areas of my life. So often I'm like, here's my business. And here's the different projects in my business. So I've got a, I've got things to do for dream stream. I've got things to do for the dream makers podcast. I've got things to do for my mentor mentees, my mentorship program. I've got things to do to manage my money and then things to do in my home, things to do for my children, things to do for my health, like whatever the things that are coming up that feel overwhelming for you, create a category, create a heading, and then. Have a cup of tea or have a water or if it's in the evening, have a wine, whatever your jam is. And give yourself time to just let out all of the things that are overwhelming you or in your head, or you're feeling like you have on your plate or in your mind and just get them out of your head. and get them onto paper. And this starts to ground things into reality that practice in and of itself will potentially help get you out of overwhelm, even in that moment, because often it's, we're just holding it all on our head and it feels too big. And we're running, running, running, and not feeling like we're making the progress we want to make. But when we start to put it down on paper, you can say, Oh yeah, I do have a lot of things to do. And also I have choice about how I'm going to respond to this. So I would put everything out in categories and just like clear the decks. What's in, what's, what's in your mind, what's in your mind, what's worrying you, what do you feel like you haven't done yet that you should have done yet. Sometimes there'll be things that are just not even essential and you can be like, Oh, that was a great idea, but I don't even need to do it. And Oh, here's the things that are really starting to build up. And that's where this overwhelm was coming from. I find often the, the overwhelm can even be because there's this humming in the background of things that you're avoiding. I get this. I've literally had a conversation with my accountant this morning. And now that I've had a conversation with her, I'm like, Oh, cool. I have a plan. I have a way forward. But before that I had this humming in the background of like, there's this stuff I'm not really handling properly. So the meeting with her came from me doing a regroup like this. And I, one of the tasks was right down was make an appointment and have a coffee with my accountant so that I can get clear and stop this humming in the background and worrying about things that I don't fully know or understand. So yeah, I think just this practice even is helpful to, just pull out from the back of your mind and your body and your heart, all the things that are kind of humming away and accumulating to create that sense of overwhelm or perceived overwhelm. So yeah, once you've kind of got it all out on your paper and in categories or in containers just kind of checking with yourself, have I let it all out? Is there anything else? Is there anything else that's bothering me? And then I would just check in, like, do I feel complete? Is this You know, is this really the stuff that is kind of on my plate at the moment? Sometimes you'll be downloading and be like, Oh, there's this other project that I've been thinking about. There's this other project I've been thinking about and they're kind of consuming precious energy when they're not essential right now. So that's kind of where we, we move into now. You've got all of the things that are out of your head and onto paper and in some kind of order. That process in and of itself will feel clarifying, will feel fortifying, will feel, you'll feel a shift in your energy body that you're getting back into your power. Look at me go, sorting my shit out getting clarity and that you can then clarify and fortify it even more. Get out your trusty highlighter. across all of the categories. You could just pick what's most essential in each of them. And because the truth is, you know, we can do so, so many things, but we just can't do everything all at once. And that's our job. Our job always is to get clear about how we prioritize our precious time and energy and our projects and the things that feel most essential for us. So yeah, grab your highlighter out and. Highlight the things that feel most essential. And then across the board I would just pick three things. What are the next three things that are most essential for me to give my energy and attention to? And then next to each of those, I would write, I'd give an attempt at what is just an effortless action I can take. What is an effortless action I can take to move this forward, to feel like there is progress. I was thinking about this last night, this feeling of progress. I'm obsessed with it. I love it. I don't care whether it's progress in my business, progress, was that in my bedroom? As in when I've like tidied stuff up and put fresh sheets on, I'm like, oh, look at me go, Clary, there's progress. When I'm sorting things out around the house, when I've complete a project that's been kind of hanging over me, whether it's in my business or life, anything. It just fit. This sensation of progress is something that I love, but I think feels really empowering for us. So and this is how we get into momentum and momentum is, is how we get into creating epic things in our life and having what, what, what we think are quantum leaps. It's because we're consistently taking action towards the things that are most essential. So this practice, not only clearing you out of overwhelm and helping you get clear about how you want to move forward, it's activating momentum and progress and quantum leaps. So I would pick your top three things. Then I would write an effortless action next to each of them. And it might be as simple as I need to send a text message to this person. I need a shitty first draft of the offer. I need to make an appointment with my accountant and you don't need to figure all of the steps out and all of the things you just take the next most inspired and effortless action to bring something closer. And then, then you have like a smaller, clearer list of things that you need to do. The truth is you can continue to argue that you could try to do all the things all at once, but that wasn't working for you because you were in overwhelm and at the edge or in the middle of meltdown versus I'm back in my power. Yes. I have a whole lot of things that need my energy and attention, but yes, also I'm clear on what's most essential right now. And for some people at the time, it might be I need to get this and this done and then it's the weekend and time with my family. I need to get this done and this done and then I need to go and pick up my daughter from childcare. Wherever you're at, it's up to you to decide what's most essential. But then the action you're taking is aligned with what's most essential. And that really also in and of itself is you to be in your power. I'm clear. I'm not just taking random action everywhere. And desperately trying to pull myself out of the spin of overwhelm. I'm taking clear, intentional action. I know what needs to be done. I'll do what I can in the time that I've got. And then I'm going to hand it over. So that's probably the other little thing is like When you go to get into action, you've got your list of things now. I would do things like set a 15 minute timer and, and take the first action, set a 45 minute timer and write the shitty first draft of whatever it is that you needed to do. And then go and do something rewarding for you. Like we really want to get into this place of intentional, clear, essential action, rest, regroup, recover, go back in with a really good energy because it comes back to that, that conversation about energy and that conversation about frequency. And that is our job is to take care of our energy and take action from that place. I think that's what I wanted to share with you today. I hope that was really helpful for you. You can come back to this anytime you feel like you're in overwhelm and You know, I live and breathe by this practice. I know so many of the people that I have been mentoring over all the years live and breathe by this practice. You can keep it simple when you get into overwhelm regroup, pull the paper out, make a commitment to reset, do things to take care of your energy, create spaciousness and know that yes, the only way through is to keep moving through it, but it doesn't need to be running like a bat out of hell in hustle mode. taking all of the random action because that in and of itself is exhausting and you will just stay in overwhelm and all the action you're going to be taking is going to be from this lower frequency, lower vibration, lower energy and what you put out you get back. Yeah. What you, the energy with which you put into an action and the action then goes out into the world. That is how you're met. So the energy out, energy in. So we want to be taking action. We want to be doing things from a place that feel really good for us. For example, me sitting here doing the thing that was on my list. It was starting to overwhelm me that I was totally avoiding CB solo apps. I did a regroup yesterday afternoon. I did the categories. I wrote down all the things that I wanted to do. Friday is a spaciousness day for me, but it was also like, how can I let this be fun and easy? I'm just going to pick a topic and get into it and have something I'm very familiar with. And I'm sitting here on the beach in my car Looking at the ocean with one leg hanging out the door to get the fresh air Because if I had my car and aircon on it'd be doing all sorts of weird beeping things by now but yeah, it's done and done is always better than perfect. Oh, actually there's one more thing I wanted to add before I leave for today is actually just acknowledge the overwhelm is part of the process. It's okay. I think when we get into overwhelm, when we get into fear, sometimes we think maybe I shouldn't be doing this. Maybe something's wrong with me. Maybe I'm not on the right track and I feel like we're always being led down the right track and the moments of overwhelm and the moments of fear and doubt are just invitations to clean, clear the decks, to clean up your energy, to clean up your intention, to get back. on track, like you've always been on track, but get, get back into your power. And it just means that when you do this practice that I've shared with you there'll be things that you decide are no longer essential and that you don't need to do that. You've been worrying about that. You don't need to be worrying about you'll get into a decision making mode rather than spending your precious time and energy worrying about making the right decisions. When you do this clarity practice, just. Make decisions and make them right. Make a decision, get into alignment with it and get into action. This is how you get back into your power and back out of overwhelm. And I just want to say, as I peace out, and just in case no one has told you this today or recently, truly, you're doing an amazing job. The fact that you have a dream, you have an idea that you're choosing to take action to bring into reality rather than. sitting on the couch or laying in your bed or watching Netflix. And I mean, I'm here for Netflix, but just dreaming about something and not doing something about it. You are in a minority and that really is something that you should celebrate. And I just want you to know that you are doing amazing and I believe in you. And all you need to do is just keep showing up. for your dream, for what it is that really matters to you. When it, when you feel tired, when you feel exhausted, when you feel like quitting, you don't need to quit. It's just overwhelm, rest, create space, regroup and get back in the arena. All right. Peace out. Lots of love.
